Residents of Mottingham enjoyed a really special treat on August Bank Holiday Saturday. The sun shone, the band played and a wonderful Show was organised by the Mottingham Horticultural Society (MHS) in the King George Dining Hall at Eltham College.
There were over 250 entries covering flowers & produce, lovely flower arrangements & crafts such as baking, drawing & knitting & photography. Exhibits were of a very high standard and numerous awards were won including several silver cups. Refreshments with homemade cakes were served in the quadrangle whilst the Mottingham Village Band played throughout the afternoon.
Grateful thanks are due……..
To The Band for playing so beautifully throughout the event,
To Eltham College who hosted the event despite their vast building works which had reduced one side of the quadrangle to rubble & hoardings,
To the MHS Committee & helpers for their hard work in organising & bringing everything together on the day, and, last but not least
To the Exhibitors, Judges & all the visitors who made it such an enjoyable afternoon!

Look out for our Shows & Plant Sales in 2018.
