The reported ‘Proposed Closure’ of the Eric Liddell sports centre is not a closure but an amendment of opening hours, most notably the removal of early morning public swimming.

However, the pool remains open for lane swimming on

• Saturday 6.30am – 7.50am & 3.50pm – 4.30pm
• Sunday 7.00am – 8.40am

and casual swimming on:

• Saturday 2.30pm – 3.30pm
• Sunday 2.10pm – 3.10pm

The pool also remains open for local primary school use and 6 swimming clubs hosting over 500 local children and adults per month. The gym remains open during evenings and weekends as below:

• Monday to Friday 6.00pm – 10.00pm
• Saturday 6.30am – 8.30pm
• Sunday 7.00am – 9.00pm
